The 10th WACCM Leadership Training Conference, 2019, Perth

Presented by The World Association for Chinese Church Music
through Chinese Christian Music Association of Western Australia
In conjunction with CCCOWE (WA)

15.2.2019

Dear Church Leaders,

Shalom in the name of the Lord! It is our pleasure to inform you that the 10th WACCM Leadership Training Conference is to be held on June 27-29, 2019, at the Perth Chinese Christian Church (South Branch). This biennial and bilingual international event will gather together pastors, church leaders and music ministry workers from all over the world to study God’s words, to understand the real meaning of worship and to upgrade their music standards.

We are thankful that we have two specialists of high calibre from overseas to share with us on the topic of “creative worship”, which is the theme of the conference. Professor CHEN Hsiu-Wen, from Taiwan, is an expert on “creative worship” and has an in-depth knowledge on the theology of worship. Pastors and church leaders participating in the course will benefit from her sharing, which will in turn benefit the worship in their churches. The other keynote speaker, KHOO Hooi Lay, is an internationally renowned Malaysian singer, pianist and conductor, and has unique experience and innovative approaches in the use of music in worship. Her sharing will raise the music standards of attendees and enhance their creativity. Whether you are a pastor, elder, deacon, music ministry leader, conductor, pianist, choir member, or a member of the worship team, this course has something to offer and can be your once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity.

For attendees from overseas or from interstate we have arranged for them to stay at the comfortable Trinity on Hampden, which is only across the road to the beautiful University of Western Australia. We have also arranged a travel agency to provide some guided tours, so that they can travel after the conference and appreciate God’s wonderful creation.

For brothers and sisters who are local, if they are unable to attend the course on Friday because of their work or studies, they can choose to attend the course on Saturday only. One-day attendees can still participate in the opening ceremony and dinner on Thursday. The Friday evening forum and the Saturday evening Music Worship and Closing ceremony are open to the public free of charge. We welcome all brothers and sisters to participate in the forum discussion and be part of the Music Worship.

Details on this conference can be found on our webpage https://ccmawa.org. The poster and the brochure are also attached. Kindly forward these to your congregations. Enrolment is to be done online. Please note that the early-bird (discounted) enrolment deadline is April 1, and the enrolment deadline is May 1. Pray that your church will encourage your leaders and members to participate. Do not miss this great blessing that God has given to our churches in Western Australia.

May God bless your church so that you may continue to shine for Him. Thank you.

Blessings,
Betsy Fong, WACCM Leadership Training Conference 2019 Co-ordinator
